Konzertabend am Lucerne Blues Festival Lindsay Beaver, die den dritten Konzertabend eröffnete, hat sich mit ihrem Auftritt auf der Hauptbühne definitiv zu DER Entdeckung des Festivals entwickelt. Und dass sie am Schluss auf der Bühne auch noch einen Heiratsantrag ihres Gitarristen Brad Stivers erhielt, war eine weitere Geschichte, die so wohl nur am Lucerne Blues Festival geschrieben werden kann. Den Antrag hat sie natürlich angenommen, und sie musste die eine oder andere Träne wegwischen, während sie versuchte, die Fassung wieder zu gewinnen. Den Gute-Laune Boogie zu diesem Ereignis lieferten anschliessend Bassist Benny Turner und Harpspieler Billy Branch. Der rappelvolle Panoramasaal kochte fast über. Routiniert und dennoch packend nahmen auch Kim Wilson’s Fabulous Thunderbirds mit ihrem Chicago Blues das Publikum im Sturm. Den Abschluss machte traditionellerweise die Zydeco Party mit Corey Ledet Zydeco. Produzentenlegende Mike Vernon, der mit der Mighty Combo und einer gelungenen Auswahl von Oldies das Publikum bestens unterhielt. Zu fast jedem Song hatte er auch eine kleine Geschichte aus seinen Erlebnissen in der Musikwelt bereit. Für einen mehr als würdigen Abschluss sorgte der European Blues Summit. Die von Andreas Ali Arlt von B.B. & the Blues Shacks zusammengestellte Band mit einigen der besten Musikern Europas hielt, was ihr Name versprach und wurde tatsächlich zum Gipfeltreffen höchstkarätiger Musiker.
